Installation recommendations
The CD profile is fixed to hangers/anchors, perpendicular to the mounting direction, at a spacing of 40–60 cm depending on the thickness of the plasterboard. It is joined with cross connectors and extenders. Check the flatness with a straightedge before mounting the boards.
Installation & usage tips
- Fix guide profiles (UW/UD) along the perimeter with wall plugs every 40–50 cm.
- Keep stud spacing at 60 cm (or 40 cm for double boarding or higher loads).
- Cut profiles with tin snips, not an angle grinder — to avoid burning the zinc layer.
- For ceilings, suspend CD profiles on rods with an adjustable bracket, max. 90 cm spacing.
- Use a UA profile to reinforce door and window openings.
General guidance; always follow the manufacturer instructions on the packaging.
